Yo Mama Music head DJ Emlyn has been bringing Melbourne parties to life for over 22 years. With a day job as a commercial radio sound engineer for some of Australia’s biggest radio shows, he’s always got the latest tracks to get everyone dancing. Plus, with years of experience, he knows the classics that still go off! On top of all this he’s just a really nice guy who loves to see people have fun, so he loves requests, and if you let him know before your event he’ll make sure he’s got your favourite tracks ready to play.
We do anything from gorgeous weddings to wineries to the MCG to clubs to clothing stores to glass rooms suspended over crashing ocean waves to Bonnie Doon football club to kids pool parties (yes, pool parties, codename DJ Splash).
With a fully self contained, professional mobile setup, we can turn most spaces into a fun atmosphere with a thumping dance floor. All that’s required is power!

Our DJs
Emlyn has over 22 years experience as a DJ. He specialises in weddings and corporate functions, where everything has to come off without a hitch. Emlyn is also a fun guy who’s main aim at a function is to get people to dance!
Dylan is an extremely fun loving young man, who is just as at home on the dance floor as he is behind the DJ decks. A dance music lover, he’s great for a youthful crowd or as an all rounder.
With professional skills in creating the mood for the party, Josh is highly skilled in making your night a complete success. He is often praised for his excellent customer service. Don’t tell anyone, but he’s also a wedding singer.
Andrew is you classic hits DJ. Loves his 70’s and 80’s MJ, Grease Mega Mix, Jessie’s Girl, ACDC, Chisel, 500 miles, Bustop, Nutbush! I know, I know, corny as. But he does like the new stuff too. Loves getting everyone up and having a good time and yes, he’s another wedding singer!
But you can call him Neil. He’s got over 20 years of experience working as a radio producer as his day job. A fantastic all rounder who can read a crowd so well that he’ll know when you secretly want to hear some Brittney Spears. Nobody has to know it was you!
Now many DJ’s can claim they’ve been going at it since they were 11 years old. Nish is the exception. He takes it back to the old school, scratching it up with his turntable skills and making the party go wild. 11 year olds? 60 year olds? He can get them on the dance floor!
